FELIX DONATH – SEARCHING FOR SPEED on 2 and 4 wheels
Precision, Balance, and Speed: Introducing Reynolds Gravel Athlete Felix Donath
At Reynolds, performance is never one-dimensional.
It is not defined by a single ride, a single race, or a single metric. It is the result of balance. Between speed and control. Between effort and recovery. Between ambition and reality.

Few riders embody that balance quite like Felix Donath.

A Different Kind of Athlete
Based near Stuttgart, Germany, Felix Donath is not only a UCI Gravel World Series competitor, but also a full-time professional, a family man, and a rider driven by something deeper than results alone. Before gravel, Felix spent four years racing at the Continental level on the road, living the life of a professional cyclist. That trajectory changed abruptly in 2015 after a serious accident forced him to step away from the sport.

For many, that might have been the end of the story.
For Felix, it was simply a transition. He built a new life in the corporate world, working within one of Germany’s most prestigious automotive manufacturers, an environment where performance, precision, and speed are part of the daily language. Yet the competitive fire never left.

Gravel brought it back.

The Return to Racing
Gravel racing gave Felix something that road racing could not.

Freedom.
Freedom to race without rigid structure.
Freedom to explore.
Freedom to suffer, tactically and physically, on his own terms.
But with that freedom came a new challenge. Balancing a 40-hour work week, family life, and international-level competition. For Felix, this is not a limitation. It is the objective. To perform at a high level while managing every variable of a full life. To extract maximum performance not just from his equipment, but from his time, his energy, and his decisions. A complete approach to performance.

An Engineer’s Mindset
Felix describes himself as a tech enthusiast, someone who looks beyond the ride and into the details that define it.
Aerodynamics. Equipment. Data.
It is a mindset that aligns naturally with Reynolds. Because at Reynolds, performance is not guessed. It is studied. Tested. Refined. Every rim profile. Every layup. Every system is engineered to deliver a precise balance of speed, control, and durability across real-world conditions. Felix approaches racing the same way. Not chasing marginal gains blindly, but understanding where they matter most.

The ATR Athlete
Felix rides across the Reynolds range, from the ATR carbon platform to the G Series gravel wheels and the G30 alloy setup. But more importantly, he represents the philosophy behind them. All Terrain Roads.
The idea that performance should not be limited by surface. That speed should carry across terrain. That equipment should adapt, not restrict. For a rider who trains before work, races across borders, and manages life in between, that versatility is not a luxury.

It is essential.

One wheelset. Multiple demands. Zero compromise.

Built for What Matters
For 2026, Felix’s focus is clear.
The UCI Gravel World Series, with key targets including Gravel One Fifty in Roden, and a strong push toward the second half of the season on the international stage. But beyond results, the goal remains consistent. To get the most out of himself. Not just on race day, but across the entire process that leads there.

Performance, Defined Differently
Felix Donath is not the typical professional cyclist.
And that is exactly what makes him a Reynolds athlete.
He understands performance not just as output, but as balance. As precision. As consistency over time. From the roads and gravel of Germany to the global stage of the UCI Gravel World Series, Felix represents a different kind of speed.

Measured. Intelligent. Enduring.

The kind of performance that does not just show up.

It is built.
